"I’m writing this review on behalf of my father who had a home insurance policy with State Farm. When my father switched insurance companies he talked highly of Torrence and the team so I was happy he finally found an agent that was a great fit for his needs…that is until my father passed away suddenly on May 23, 2024. A few days later as I was going through my father’s mail, I discovered that he received a letter from State Farm stating that his insurance would lapse on June 12, 2024. I contacted Torrence and his team immediately to discuss our options. Unfortunately, I was met with a generic response and a forwarded email from the State Farm underwriter, which was inappropriate to forward to a client. Torrance provided no empathy or willingness to assist with the situation. Without any options and the insurance coverage deadline quickly approaching, I was forced to immediately hire a probate attorney and sell my father’s house as-is to an investor group. If anyone has been through a loss of a loved one, you can understand that selling their home is the last thing that you want to do just mere days after their passing. I never heard from Torrence or anyone from his agency until today when I received an email from them asking if my deceased father would be interested in “revisiting his insurance needs”. Even in the worst moments of your life when you think you can depend on your insurance agent, State Farm and Torrence really do not have your back."
